La Casa Alta, El Esparragal

Situated right in the heart of this picturesque village, La Casa Alta stands proud as the tallest house, with clear views of the Sierra Nevadas and surrounding olive groves. With its numerous balconies, every room has french windows that can be thrown open in the morning to greet the Spanish sunshine.

The house's history is still being uncovered but a clue may be seen in the lounge area, where part of a mural has been revealed. Rumour has it that originally these murals covered the entire downstairs from floor to ceiling.

From the impressive front door, you step into an vast marble tiled hallway, with replica frontdoors straight through to the courtyard beyond. The lounge and dining area lead off from the hallway with bathroom facilities also available. A sweeping staircase with delicate wrought iron railings leads you upstairs to another vast area leading off to the many bedrooms. >> See the rooms
